Lenten reflection on scripture — John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word
and the Word was with God
playing like an only child
with the joy of it all —

tossing red dwarfs like Frisbees,
sliding with irrepressible laughter
down great glaciers
lending a shy pterodactyl
a shoulder to perch on,
reminiscing about old times –

“Do you remember trying to get
that frightened amoeba
to finally let go
and how sweet and proud they were
when they became two?

Just like us – two, even three –
whatever brings love to birth.”papo_ptero

Please do a reflection on Nicodemus and Moses I need something fresh for this Sunday – I’ve checked out some sermons on the web (now I know why I hardly ever do this) they are ghastly!
