Scent of a Full Life — (prayer for the end of the day) from Uruguay

This remarkable liturgy in two voices for the end of the day or the week is the gift of Sergio Bertinat of the Iglesia Evangélica Valdense en el Río de la Plata, Dolores Uruguay. The translation is by Lucy Berrios Taveras.
Gracias desde mi corazón.

Scent of a full life

Voice 1
We come to you Lord, as we finish our tasks;
Some of us bring our frustrations in tow,
Others the joy and satisfaction of achievements,
And others with no feelings whatsoever
We have finished

Voice 2
We come to you Lord, as we finish our tasks;
And here you are waiting for us
The fire burning,
A fish on the grill,
And bread, the memorial bread
Of miracles and communion

Voice 1
We come to you Lord, as we finish our tasks;
You invite us to come closer,
To form a circle,
To bring our fish,
The achievements we’ve had
From the work that we do

Voice 2
We come to you Lord, as we finish our tasks;
You invite us to be by your side.
And in the warmth of the fire,
You share the bread, the fish.
You nourish us, and renew our strength,
Our faith

Voice 1 and Voice 2
We come to you Lord, Lord of Life
From our daily tasks,
We do not see you,
But we feel your presence
We know you are here
As we smell the scent of a full life

Huele a vida plena

Voz 1:
Venimos Señor, de nuestros quehaceres;
algunos traemos la frustración a cuestas,
otros la alegría y satisfacción
por los logros obtenidos,
otros sin sentir demasiado,
Hemos cumplido.
Voz 2:
Venimos Señor, de nuestros quehaceres;
y aquí estás tú ¡esperándonos!.
El fuego encendido,
un pescado en la parrilla,
y el pan, ese pan memoria
de milagro y comunión.
Voz 1:
Venimos Señor, de nuestros quehaceres;
y nos invitas a que nos acerquemos,
que hagamos rueda,
que traigamos nuestros pescados,
esos logros que hemos tenido
de nuestro trabajo.
Voz 2:
Venimos Señor,
de nuestros quehaceres;
y nos invitas a estar a tu lado.
Y en la calidez del fuego
nos compartes el pan, el pescado.
Nos alimentas, renuevas las fuerzas,
nuestra fe.
Voz 1 y voz 2:
Venimos hacia ti, Señor de la Vida,
desde nuestros quehaceres cotidianos.
No te vemos,
pero sentimos tu presencia
Sabemos que estás,
se huele a vida plena.
