Palm Sunday and Easter Doxologies

Rev. John Danner, Pastor of the Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ in Sanibel, Florida writes every week a new Doxology for his congregation to sing. The meaning of “doxology” is words of praise and so there are new words of praise every Sunday in the hearts and voices of the worshipers there. He has sent for us to share a new doxology for Palm Sunday and for Easter.

PALM SUNDAY DOXOLOGY

Tune: Old Hundredth Text: John H. Danner

With palms we come to praise our King,
“Hosanna” is the song we sing,
All praise the One who rides this day,
And brings us hope in ev’ry way.

EASTER DOXOLOGY–2016

Tune: Old Hundredth Text: John H. Danner

Let trumpets sound and voices sing!
Let all on earth their praises bring!
For Christ has conquered sin and death
And given life eternal breath.
