Morning at Mammoth Lake

Morning at Mammoth Lake

Photo (C) Randy K. Hammer

This photograph by Randy Hammer is a part of his WordPress blog The Reflective Naturalist found here.  He posts amazing photography two or three times a week. I asked to share this piece because I want to ask you to let this place harbor you for a moment.

Are there words of prayer that come to you, that you would share with other readers of Gifts in Open Hands? Are there other places it takes you? Thoughts? Please be collaborative in your comments. Share a few words, a photograph, or simply sit with this in silence.

Thank you for your gift.

The natural world’s beauty and grandeur have ways of humbling you at the same time that they raise you up. I am awestruck at the same time that I am joyful for being a part of this gorgeous creation. Somehow, I think this is a fitting metaphor for grace.
