Conflict Transformation — for African immigrants in Italy

In October 2016 Lance Muteyo and Daniel Buttry visited Southern Italy on the invitation of Crispinus Ouma Pamba a Kenyan immigrant in Italy. They did a series of Conflict Transformation workshops with African immigrants who come to Europe through the Mediterranean Sea.

“It was a powerful moment to hear the stories of struggle and to realize how we were able to help them realize their full potential.”

In November, Lance traveled the rest of Italy speaking in various places including Baptist Churches, Catholic Churches and Methodist Churches about Africa, Conflict Transformation and Child sponsorship programs.

As we consider this work being done throughout the world, how do we — each one of us approach 2017?  What will be the change that we will create in the days to come?

In your peacemaking work, you may want to check Dan Buttry’s new book “We we-are-the-socksare the Socks” (I received it for Christmas — thank you, Bill and Mary Beth Mankin) It is dedicated to Lance and Christine Muteyo.
