God, I am not sure about the theology of
“Jesus died for my sins,”
but I do know that
Jesus died for Barabbas,
putting a terrorist back on the streets.
Let me hear the story of this Friday,
without trying to put on the handcuffs
of my interpretation.
People are notoriously bad
at choosing what love is going to mean.
You are way too kind; we are also notoriously bad at insisting on what it will mean and who will get to receive it. Thank you for reminding me that even at His trial Jesus was busy letting the “wrong” people benefit
That is true and far more pointed!
