A small Easter heresy Mark 16: 1-8

The harrowing business
is a late addition
trying to shape something of Saturday.

Why was Jesus resurrected
Sunday at the first light of dawn,
except to make sunrise services popular
with those who do not like
all the Easter fuss?

Why didn’t Jesus rise immediately?

Of course maybe he did.
We don’t know — check the gospels.

We are not told when Jesus rose,
only that Sunday morning
was the first time
people came looking for him.

And we are looking for him still.

    Wow.
The thoughts this kicks off for me!

  2. Maren says:

I tried to fit it in this morning’s sermon — doesn’t quite go! Happy Easter.

  3. Obed Vizcaíno says:

    PRIMERAS

Rev. Obed Juan Vizcaíno Nájera Maracaibo – Venezuela 01 de Abril 2018.
