Lance Muteyo, coordinator of the Pan African Peace Network and frequently sharing here, talks with Word&Way Editor & President Brian Kaylor on “Baptist without an Adjective.”. He discusses the work of PAPNET and the importance of peacebuilding and conflict transformation. He also talks about his home country of Zimbabwe, including current events leading to economic problems and protests there. I repeat this podcast with their permission. His words are powerful and heart-moving!

He writes to me: Here is my interview on what I think about Zimbabwe in particular and Sub Saharan Africa in general. Listen and understand how a nation has failed due to forces of global capital, refined system of internal oppression, remote controlled African Presidents, failure of donor funding, internalized external oppression, clueless leaders and self hate.

Lance is a missioner for the Baptist Peace Fellowship. His and Christine’s ministry of peace and reconciliation throughout Africa is an important witness. Support for his ministry can be funneled through Pine Street Baptist Church in Boulder, Colorado. Please be in touch with me at giftsinopenhands@gmail.com for more information.
