Eid Mubarak sharing the end of Ramadan with our friends in the Republic of Georgia

As together in all the world we wish Eid Mubarak to all at the end of Ramadan and listen to Malkhaz Songulashvili’s service. This has been a truly difficult year for all Muslims to miss the community aspects of this most sacred time.

On Saturday evening, May 23rd the Peace Cathedral observed the end of the Ramadan fast and beginning of Eid Al-Fitr feast. In the service festive greetings were offered to Muslim brother and sisters around the globe and prayers were offered in Arabic and Georgian for the Peace in the world. The Metropolitan bishop recited a sura from the Quran in Arabic and the choir chanted the same sura (Al-Fatiha):

    Thank you for sharing this. My daughter was raised Roman Catholic, but doesn’t practice. She married a Muslim, who doesn’t practice, but the rest of his family, from Egypt, is very traditional and practices all aspects of their faith. We are all still learning.
