It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain. Isaiah 4:6
God, for all of those who will suffer this week
from the intense heat, we pray.
For people of age and caregivers,
for firefighters, and firewatchers,
for children, hot, beginning school,
or worrying that it will not open,
for those not yet recovered
from earlier heat this year, we pray.
We pray for those who worry
about storms building in a new season –
tomorrow Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands,
the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba,
and those still coping
with damage from storms in all the world.
Holy One, we pray
in the midst of the new naming
of the irreversible effects
of human-caused climate change,
for those who work to study and measure
global warming
that cannot be called back,
that we have already given our children.
Grant us to make the choices
so we co-create for you
shelter and shade from even more
heat of the day,
and live new ways of living
that become refuge and hiding place
from the storm and the rain,
and the end of your earth. amen
Amen – Amen ! In agreement with this yes indeed God please help us- hear us and answer, forgive us- Amen

You will be so glad to have him back.
amen. thank you!
It is so much unbelievable damage that will just return and return unless our prayers turn into action.
Thank you again for naming, lamenting and beseeching in prayer on behalf of others and all.
I wish I did not need to do so. If suddenly there would be agreement.
